WECCC Paddlers Raise Over $3000 For Mission!

photo of WECCC montreal canoe paddlers saluteMy wife Leslie and I along with our children Caroline and Michael are proud to be members of WECCC (Windsor Essex County Canoe/Kayak Club).  Yesterday we were fortunate to be a part of a group of more than 60 paddlers who despite a rainy morning, paddled the 14.5 km as part of the Summerfest Floatilla along the Windsor waterfront.  Our family enjoyed paddling the 16-person Montreal Voyageur Canoe among the many kayaks that made up this floatilla.  Thanks to Dennis Marentette – event organizer, Steve Lutsch – safety boat organizer and photographer and Roger Chauvin – Club President for making this event possible!

The Windsor/Essex County Canoe/Kayak Club is open to people and families of all ages and is a great way to socialize, stay fit and enjoy paddling some of our region’s fantastic waterways.  To find out more about joining this group, visit the WECCC Website or contact Steve Blais.
